Welcome to Our Modern Kitchen

Hello! We’re Sam and Carmen, a food-obsessed pair of home-cooks living in London.

Essentially, we are tinkerers. Dabblers. Experimenters. Sometimes inventors. And occasionally, cooks.

Our food is largely based around classic recipes paired with quality, seasonal ingredients. We love to champion lesser-known dishes, techniques and ingredients but primarily we love reinventing those classic recipes we all know but may have grown tired of. That, after all, is the great joy of cooking - the endless possibilities that quality ingredients and a well-stocked kitchen may afford.

Our goal in Our Modern Kitchen is to inspire others to cook, to tinker, to taste and to ultimately become fantastic home cooks.
