CLARKSON'S FARM: THE DOCU-SERIES WE DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE CRAVING
25 JULY 2021
Before you completely switch off, let me tell you that I am also not particularly a fan of Jeremy Clarkson. HOWEVER, this new Clarkson's Farm series is genuinely fantastic! Sam and I have flown through the 8 episode series and were completely captivated by it. The docu-series are beautifully filmed and follow Jeremy Clarkson's journey trying to run his own farm.
Based in the Cotswolds, the farm consists of about 1000 acres, and so far has been taken care of by a farmer. The problem is that he's just announced his retirement. Naturally, Clarkson thought he’d just give it a go and do it all himself. Not only does the show really pull you in on the process of farming, but it is also very amusing. As you can imagine Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t know much at all about farming. As a result, there is a lot of trial and error, almost always rectified by the local farmers and agricultural experts.
One of the emerging stars of the show however is local farmer Kaleb Cooper. The experienced 21-year-old never fails to point out Clarkson’s mistakes in the bluntest of fashions - a joy to behold. The show most definitely brings you along the learning curve that is farming and making a living from it.
All in all, we can’t recommend this series enough, even if you’re not a huge fan of Jeremy Clarkson. Oh and incidentally, a second season is in the works!
